The Mission is much more than a race, it is more like a pilgrimage where people complete a route of choice of 110, 160 or 200 km, in a self-sufficient way, in full contact with nature, in a mountainous environment, facing the whims of the climate and overcoming the obstacles that only a tour like the one the Mission can offer. It is a journey of teaching and self-knowledge that feeds the spirit of overcoming people.
Manage the forces, plan the race, be well equipped to face any type of weather and enjoy the scenery offered by the route. For all these factors we say that in The Mission “to arrive is to win” …. It is that crossing the goal of the Mission means that one has finished the toughest and most difficult race in South America and one of the toughest in the world, and that is one of the greatest achievements in a person’s life, that is why obtaining the “Mission Accomplished” medal is a memory that is never forgotten and a great reward for the enormous effort made.
To complete The Mission you must not have special abilities, you do not have to be a reckless climber or a super athlete. With proper training one can reach the goal, examples abound. The most important thing to complete a Mission is the mental factor, the “head” commands… Factors such as determination, perseverance and patience are some of the keys to completing a Mission.
Huge mountains are climbed, long valleys are crossed, streams are crossed, lakes are lined and the race is not suspended due to bad weather. But the best thing is that a person can complete this beautiful but hard journey just walking, taking four days and three nights to reach the goal.
This edition of The Mission is still in San Martin de los Andes. The proposal is to make the routes of the previous edition but in the opposite direction. The challenge is launched! …. Do not miss this opportunity to perform one of the hardest and most spectacular races in the world! … The Mission … an authentic adventure … where to arrive is to win !!!

Nice and rought itineraray (in particular first 60K). Bad organization in many ways. In a nutshel, I don’t recommend this race if you can choose from other 100 milers even in south Patagonia as well.
