The Jay Peak Trail Running Festival is a unique trail running experience designed for the entire family that cannot be matched. With 7 races for all abilities there is something for everyone. Whether you are a kid who just likes being outdoors (where they belong), someone just trying out your first trail race, a speed goat that loves hammering until your legs give out or an ultra runner that wants to see just how far your body & spirit can go, we have a race for you.
With 3 different hotels fitting every budget, an indoor water park, ice rink, climbing wall, arcade, movie theater, several restaurants and more…..there is plenty to do with the family in between races.
The festivities kick off Saturday – choose to run 1, 2 or 3 5Ks in ONE day!
– Black Diamond 5K 8:30
– Blue Square 5K 9:30
– Green Circle 5K 10:30
Then, join for one of the best KIDS trail races in the US & CN. A REAL trail race that is fair for all ages (up to age 11).
On Sunday, choose from one of the new courses featuring an 11 mile loop (technically it was measured as 10.99, so if you feel you need to keep running for .01 miles at the end, you are welcome to do so). This loop offers the best of Jay Peak runnable trails.
Our 11 Miler (17.7k) will give you a challenge but with well stocked aid stations and beautiful views, you wont notice the 3k+ in gain. ….much.
One 11 mile loop not enough? Great, go around again for another 3k of gain. While this event is shorter than a typical 25k, the efforts needed complete will be much the same.
We were told that our 50k was the hardest trail race out there. We took this info to heart… and decided it needed to be harder. So we added another 1.926 miles. (You are welcome to go the extra few steps to make it an even 2 miles.)
After completing three 11 mile loops, you will be given your medal, finishers’ prize (hat or gloves or whatever we decide will be awesome…& useful) &, if you are over 21) a cold beer. Sound good?
