Flew into PVD to rent car at National. There is a long ass walkway to a separate parking structure a couple of streets away that thankfully had moving lanes. Like ridiculously long walkway, lol. Rented a Prius for the first time ever! Drove to bib pickup at Rhode Runner in Providence. Drove downtown to knock out most of my sightseeing. Grabbed Papa Gino’s pasta and meatballs and cinnamon sticks for dinner. Stayed at Springhill Suites West Warwick. Drive down to race start was easy peasy. Race started on time, and rolling hills the entire race. One decline around mile 9 I think. Someone of major note is the camber of the street was awful, and my left ankle was aching after only a couple of miles of the awkward inward roll of the foot. Water stations were well manned and had electrolytes and most had Gu and Vaseline sticks. Race finish had water, electrolytes, bagels, fruit, and donuts I think. I would recommend this race if you love rolling hills. I dislike hills of any kind, so I’d choose a more flat course next round. I hear all of the Rhode Races are good, though.

This race was well organized and started on time. Parking was awesome (walking distance from the start/finish line. I was definitely thankful for the race day Bib pick-up this morning. Volunteers were great as well as the people/residents cheering on the runners. This is a damn good course for incline training.

Great race through a very scenic and historic place! The start and finish are at the same place, and post race activities are so-so but the medal was awesome and creative and depicts a scene from a past race with a historic building in the background and a blue “stained glass” effect. Very unique! The course was pretty hilly, but gorgeous! Aide stations were frequent and port o potties spread throughout the course.

Hills, hills, hills, but guess what? I got my PR!
Aid stations provided throughout the course, great organization by Rhode Races, as usual. They should to improve the quality of T-shirts.
