I’m so glad this was back on again this year and that they moved the Beer Mile competitions up an hour. Parts of the course are beautiful with fields and farm animals, vineyards, and a lovely downhill trail with lots of trees. The beer and cider vendors were awesome and you could feel the energy and excitement. The pre-run toast is always fun too! Also glad they had a 3k for younger and shorter distance participants. I’m glad it was later in the Fall as the leaves were kind of starting to change color!

Beautiful Run
Well run event. Beautiful course . Has some good hills be prepared. I loved the shaded path on way back to finish. Photographers spread out. Nice beer tasting after race. MORE

Super fun race with lots of camaraderie during the beerfest for runners and non runners alike. Lots of beers (and a few ciders) from all walks of life with an understandable emphasis on the IPAs. The shuttle service that went from Santa Rosa to the Barlow was so helpful! Made the race morning way less stressful.

You can have all the beer you want after the race with 20+ breweries serving 2 or more varieties. The only medal you need from a race as it is practical as it is a bottle opener. Course is deceptive as it has a bit of a slow incline for first 2 miles then flattens out and then a bit of decline on last mile. Nice event but no mile markers this year so hope they bring that back next year.

Sebastopol is beautiful, and the course is not very difficult — what little uphill there is occurs in the first half of the run, the last couple of miles are easy — and then you get to try lots of good beer! My favorite is Crooked Goat, but there are many really nice brews such as Bear Republic and others! This is a super fun time! I have run it in 2017 and 2018, and it has been sunny and awesome.

I will definitely come back to do this race again next year. We put together a team to race and stuck around after to enjoy tastings from all the local breweries. Then we watched the beer mile which was super impressive. Overall the race ran very smoothly, nicely organized. Loved the route through the vineyards and on safe roads/side paths.
SO much fun!!!!!

Beer toast at the start is really fun! Great race to start running season in the spring with and not take that seriously. They do two waves of runners those that are serious racers who plan to finish under an hour and the second wave for those more casual. Thought this split the pack up nicely. The beer festival at the end was amazing and watching the beer mile was unique and fun!

I wanted to try out a 10k distance because I am training for my first Olympic distance triathlon. I’m so glad I choose this event. Not only did the route provide incredibly gorgeous scenery, the race was the perfect size. It was big enough to feel like an event, but not so crowded as to be overwhelming. Most importantly, with so many great local breweries pouring free beer at the finish line, how could this not become a favorite event! I hope to do it again next year! 🙂

Loved this course. Some slight rolling hills. Many had to walk up. Beautiful scenery. Plenty of supportive volunteers and staff. Thank you to public safety for blocking roads. Soft T-shirt. Free tasting beer glass (plastic) after the race. Tons of breweries to taste. Start and finish in The Barlow. Which meant plenty of parking, food, wine, shopping. Such a fantastic location! Well thought out and organized! This is easily my favorite 10k.
