The Into The Wild Running Festival is a festival event that benefits over 450 lions, tigers, bears, wolves, and other rescued animals at The Wild Animal Sanctuary, in a Sanctuary just 30 miles outside of Denver, CO.
All events will start and finish on the grounds of The Wild Animal Sanctuary! Start and Finish lines are within easy walking distance from the Sanctuary’s new 48,000-square-foot Welcome Center and free on-site parking!

The “JAGUAR JAUNT” is a fun and relaxing 5K walk (or run if you want) for individuals, families or groups of friends that want to spend a Saturday morning walking across the Sanctuary’s 720 acres of open grassland – as the course weaves between natural habitats filled with rescued animals. This is such a unique venue to host a 5 and 10k race. The course is on gravel roads that wrap around the ground of the animal sanctuary. You get to run by lions, grizzly bears, tigers, wolves, and so many more amazing exotic creatures. No paved road race will ever be able to compare to this ambiance. Following the race there is an abundance of food offered to participants. What I appreciated more than anything was that they had a gluten free burrito as well as a vegitarian option and your standard meat lovers. I actually got to eat something delicious after a race!! Also, you cannot beat the swag they give out for this race. The t-shirts and running hats are fierce to say the least. You better believe I will be back to run it again next year!!
