I like this course out and back, and ran the same path for the Fallen 15. However, I do believe there is enough path to make a loop and see more of Powell. Where runners would not have to cross a road. I loved the swag! T-shirt (cotton) not a tech shirt! And the medal was really cool. I will probably run this race again next year

I ran this in order to complete the RunColumbus series challenge, and it fit my schedule better than some of the races later this year. I wasn’t super enthused going in about the way the race was advertised going in, but gave it a shot. In my mind, RunColumbus salvaged this event. Communication was poor from the actual race organizers, and less than a week before the race, EndoMonkey announced* (which is to say, RunColumbus announced for its participants) that there would be no race-day packet pickup. EndoMonkey sent out this announcement to runners on Friday for a Sunday race. The event had just under 100 participants, so I don’t feel like this should’ve been an issue. Registration got you a cotton shirt, a medal—this part was cool, as it was designed like the Liberty Bell—and water, but no snacks or bananas, and Sierra Nevada beer that I didn’t go for because it was 9 am. 🤷‍♀️ I felt like there was at least an opportunity here to partner with Nocterra Brewing since their brewery is about a mile down the road from where the event was held. The course itself was nice and had a good amount of shade; there were no mile markers, but there were flags lining the route. RunColumbus again seemed to bail out poor planning and shared the new link where the results could be found. While not a huge deal, there was only a gun time and no chip time. All in all, I felt the registration was overpriced for what you got as far as execution.
