Welcome to Hurricane 100k trail run and relay in Hurricane, West Virginia brought to you by the City of Hurricane, the Dumont Tri County YMCA, and a host of local sponsors.
The Hurricane Hundred 100K Trail Race and Relay is 62 glorious miles on the Meeks Mountain Trails in Hurricane WV.
Registration is limited to 150 runners.
Prizes: $10,000 purse for the solo 100k runners. $2500 for 1st place male and female, $1500 for second place male and female, and $1000 for third place male and female.
Relay awards: Top all-male, all-female, and coed teams will receive hand-crafted awards.
When: The sixth and final loop must be started by 9:30 pm sharp, or 15:30 on the race clock. Anyone not starting their final loop by that time will be deemed ‘did not finish. This is a firm cutoff for the safety of participants and the well-being of our volunteers.
Where: Meeks Mountain Trails, Hurricane, WV. The race command center, crew pit, and team hangout will be at the shelter in the back of the bowl. The race is 100% single-track mountain running on 10.3-mile loops. Solo runners will see their crew between each of the six laps.
Who: For the heartiest of runners only. Run the 100k solo or as a three-person team, each covering 20+ miles. Crew, family, and spectators are welcome to hang out and support their runners. There’s a playground nearby and loads of open trails for hiking, biking, running, and exploring.
Pacers: For solo runners, pacers are permitted for the last two loops.
Swag: All runners receive a hoodie sweatshirt with unisex and female sizes available, a finisher’s award, and a tote with swag from sponsors. All 100k solo finishers will receive a Hurricane 100k belt buckle.
We are a Trail Sisters approved race and offer an equal opportunity for female runners with female-specific swag, equal podium spots, and prize money, feminine products at aid stations, and equal space at the starting line.
