100 miles of Mt. Hood grandeur!
Welcome to Hood Hundred presented by Speedland, a 100 mile mountain trail run on much of Mt. Hood’s most diverse and scenic terrain! Featuring an incredibly well-supported and very crew accessible lollipop-loop style course with 17,300’ of ascent and 17,300’ descent, Hood Hundred provides a truly epic mountain trail endurance challenge.
Staged at Mt. Hood Meadows, a locally owned and operated ski area, Hood Hundred combines equal parts trail running community vibes and professional event production, where we celebrate the sport of trail and ultra running, honor the mountain and celebrate each other’s accomplishments under the volcano’s summit at the finish line.
Land Acknowledgement: We honor and recognize that we gather for this event on the traditional lands of the Molalla, Kalapuyan, Chinookan Clackamas, Wasco and Wishram, and Northern Paiute peoples and other Sahaptin speakers who have occupied and stewarded these lands for countless generations.
Awards
- All Hood Hundred finishers receive a custom metal belt buckle to commemorate their achievement.
- All podium finishers are recognized at an awards ceremony and receive an award commemorating their achievement, hand made by the race directors.
- All participants and volunteers receive a sweet custom item as they finish their race or volunteer task.
- A raffle of some rad sponsor swag will be held while runners are out on the course! Prizes will be given to raffle winners as they finish their race.

I had issues with altitude, hydration/nutrition. My only comment, which the RD had already acknowledged, is aid stations ran out of ice. It got pretty warm on Saturday, so water was a bit warmish by late afternoon. My pallet for water is a bit snobby unfortunately due to SF’s very clean drinking water, so to me the aid station water had a bit of a plastic container taste, but probably my pickiness.
I was very satisfied to make 100km, but will very likely be back to complete the full 100 Mile course.
