I have somewhat mixed feelings, because the organizers were very nice to me, but I’ll tell it as it is.
It’s an affordable race and the organization was good.
I can recommend it for the local runners as a solo run or a team relay, but don’t do it as a destination race in Hawaii: almost all of the course is on a shoulder of a busy road with very limited views.
I don’t regret participating, but I wouldn’t at all call the course scenic and hey, it’s in Hawaii 🙂
The whole run is uphill. The atmosphere is fun.
The food at the finish line was great and as I mentioned the organizers were very kind.
