* Perfect running weather – cool and overcast which also made it very atmospheric with the crashing waves
* Course marshalls at just about every turn
* Fun animal fact signs in the second half which were hilarious
* A good number of aid stations
* Easy course – just some gentle up and down
* Pumpkins for finishers!

Things to know:
* This is during the extremely popular pumpkin festival. The race starts early enough that it’s ok driving in and parking early in the morning, but if you stay for festivities, the traffic out can be intense.
* The path is pretty narrow and the different distances do run into each other.

Beautiful scenery, pretty flat course, starts right on time. The course can get narrow and kind of tight at times with runners. It was pretty chilly in the morning which made the run really nice. There were a lot of volunteers to direct. There were only two aid stations for the 10K.
