Grinnell Games Half Marathon & 5K

The Grinnell Games Half Marathon and 5K race starts in the city’s central business district, just a block away from its Central Park. From there, runners head out on what is basically a counter-clockwise double-loop course for the half marathon, and which takes them both along the trails that wind through the city’s largest park (Paul Ahrens Park) and through the campus of Grinnell College.

The course is relatively flat and fast with a few rolling hills – looping through the historic downtown. It’s great for spectators too! Bring your family and have them cheer you along at multiple points on the course. Race registration includes a pancake breakfast following the event. This race uses chip timing.
