Great River Road – Road Race (GRRRR)

The Great River Road – Road Race is back! The gently rolling 5 and 10K course will begin at Pikes Peak State Park, heading south on the Great River Road before returning on the same route. After the race, participants can enjoy a traditional GRRRR breakfast of pancakes and chicken gravy. If gravy is not your thing, syrup and butter are also available. Family and friends are welcome to join the runners at breakfast. (a donation is appreciated). Runners registered before 9/15/2021 will receive a 2021 GRRRR T-shirt, after-race refreshments, and a great swag bag.

Spend the rest of the day exploring Pikes Peak State Park, one of the most photographed places in Iowa, and the Ports of Discovery communities of McGregor and Marquette. The race will benefit two local nonprofit agencies, the Turner Park Fitness for all Ages Committee and the McGregor Marquette Chamber of Commerce.
