You know what they say – none of us are superstitious until a train passes overhead on an overpass or we see a shooting star. Then suddenly we make a wish and we are very careful not to say it out loud because then the wish is not valid, right? Yes, yes… all of us then turn from rational beings into superstitious kids who look under the bed to see if there’s a monster there (and it’s not under the bed, it’s in the closet!)
So this year, for the slogan of the Night Marathon, we decided to take exactly that part of our forgotten youth, repressed within us. That moment when we make a wish and are sure it will come true. We don’t want too much this year – for you to be happy, healthy, fit and come to us this August to Bundek to run again under the night sky and maybe, just maybe, we’ll see a shooting star along the way. And then wish for yourself whatever you want 🙂
Just like last year, this year we start and shoot at the old location near the bridge, which turned out to be much more romantic than the temporary, pandemic location in the eastern parking lot of Bundek.
So that you don’t go hungry and thirsty, this year we are also partnering with the Pop Up Summer Garden, which will have its own bars, chairs and places where you can socialize and relax before and after the race. Maybe there will be another surprise this year, but about that – after that.
From the very beginning, the GRAWE Night Marathon was conceived as a cheerful, interesting and motivating race for all profiles of runners, but we always paid special attention to those who are just entering the world of running. That is why, among the various lengths that you can run at Noćno, there is also Desetinka, i.e. the tenth marathon of 4.2 km, which is the ideal length for all of you who are just starting to run and are looking for something to get you going.
And that’s why Desetinka at the GRAWE Night Marathon is the ideal choice for your first race, where you will run your first kilometers surrounded by a fantastic atmosphere and feel all the happiness of entering under the finish line. The price of the entry fee for Desetinka is symbolic, and the package is rich, precisely because a large part of the entry fee for you is covered by GRAWE in order to give you another motivation to be part of our community and our race on Bundek.

Second time runner in the third edition of the race. Main distances start at sunset, runners get LED wristbands, candles along the way, but some parts were still dark. Depending on the distance you choose (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full marathon) one runs 1,2,3 or 4 rounds in Bundek park and long the river. Every 5 k you pass a water station (for the Halfmarathon at k5, k10.5, k15.5 and in the finish) there you could get water, chocolate milk, yoghurt and beer. Great medal and nice tshirt. Music in park. No sports expo. Nonetheless more Professional than Last year and only 20€. Packet pick up at race day was only from 5-6pm and took me 45min of queueing.
