Run the lovely countryside in beautiful Caledonia at the peak of harvest time! We’re thrilled to be relaunching this beloved race route along the Grand River through Caledonia. Hilly, but beautiful!
Beginning at the Caledonia Fairgrounds, runners and walkers will follow the historic tow path behind the Caledonia Fairgrounds to exit by the old toll house onto Argyle St N to turn left and cross the iconic Caledonia Bridge. The race course continues along Argyle to turn left at Haddington St. Runners will turn right onto McKenzie Dr, left onto Caledonia Dr, left again onto Highland Blvd. At Haddington St, runners will make a left turn followed by an immediate right onto Heddle St. Running down Heddle St, runners will turn right onto Renfrew and left onto Berwick. At the base of Berwick St, at Forfar St, runners will enter the soft walking trail beside the river and follow it until its completion to turn right onto Haddington St. At the top of the Haddington St hill, runners will make a sharp left turn onto hilly River Rd for just over 5 kilometres, past beautiful rural vistas and tidy farms. At Haldimand Road 9, runners will then turn left to cross over the Grand River again in the hamlet of York, ON. After York, runners will enter the Rotary Riverside Trail for approx 8 km until the trail returns runners to Caithness Street and back into the Fairgrounds.
IMPORTANT COURSE NOTES: there are areas where runners will be required to temporarily run in single file. Some sections require runners to keep to road shoulder as the route is NOT FULLY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC. Please obey guidelines of course officials and common traffic rules. Please also note that there are multiple trail sections along this route.
Due to the nature of rural roads and trails, strollers and dogs are NOT permitted in order to keep participants safe!
Swag includes a short sleeve technical tee and a gorgeous finishers medal.
