This may be me unclear on the concept. I’ve done Foam Glow runs, but this was my first Glow Run. We started and (most of us) finished before the sun went down, so it was a bit odd to all be wearing glow in the dark sunglasses and bracelets. At any rate, it was a reverse course of a common track along one of the lakes here, and the switch up there was nice, especially since it had been used in the opposite direction the month prior.
Production was about what you’d expect. Race pictures, cotton tshirt, decent sized (if generic looking) medal for a 5k. The course was extremely muggy, which of course they couldn’t do anything about, but shortly after we finished the humidity did drop considerably as it grew dark. There’s maybe a suggestion in there…
All in all, night races are rare, this one is cheap, and lots of people showed up in the circuit, as well as about 350 other people. Probably be out there again next year.
