Well this is the second year I registered to run the 10K and I switched to a volunteer role. This year I worked at packet pickup one morning and then on RaceDay I worked waterstop #1 on the 10k route. From my perspective, plenty of water was available for both two and four legged runners (we had water bowls set out, dog friendly event). We had pleanty of other volunteers there with me to help set up, pass out water and clean up.

I did visit the post race finish li e area when I was done and there were pleanty pop post race refreshments and activities happening.

One day I might run this event but if they ask I will always help. Always fun to see the event from the side of the course and experience all the different levels of participants.

This is a very affordable fun holiday event if you are in Fort Worth for Thanksgiving

I was registered to run this event but the race director contacted me and asked if I could captain a water station due to low volunteer help. So I worked water station 2 on the 10k at mile 3. From my perspective this was a great event. Three distances to choose, timed and I timed options. Finisher medals for all that paid for timed bibs, long sleeve t-shirts, a VIP tent was available for an extra cost, medals three deep in all age brackets. Dogs were welcome at this event. We had dog bowls of water at the water stop. Volunteers received a long sleeved t-shirt. Event was well run. Course Marshall checked on us a couple times to make sure we were good.

I'm a stranger, strange, and unlikely to do a race in Texas (1500+ miles away), but thank you for volunteering! You all are a huge part of any race experience!
