Certified, triple-loop beautiful, upscale Sweetwater neighborhood course, with clearly-marked kilometer and mile markers. Timed splits for first and second 15k afterwards. Enjoy a free beer afterwards from Jupiter on the plaza, across from the finish line. Flat, fast PR-level course.
Water stations with Gatorade (with LOTS of loud volunteers) every two miles, with 3 portacans nearby. SLFD EMT personnel and HARRA AED volunteers on bikes provide plenty of medical protection. Bib-tag timing on bib with a 4:10 Time Limit, a 13:25 pace. Must be 14 years old or older to participate. Youths ages 14-19 are half-price! Almost 200 enthusiastic volunteers make our race great! FIELD LIMIT is 1,000 for runners’ safety.

Nice small race that is used as a buildup for the Houston Chevron marathon in January. The race starts and finishes at the Sugar Land Town Center and heads out towards Sweetwater. Once there, you run 3 laps on a 4.2 mile loop that actually made the race better than expected. Being a smaller race, capped at 800, you were able to see runners constantly on the course and not be by yourself. The course is basically flat, and makes for nice easy running.
