My favorite race of the year! So weather forecast was 100% rain at about 70-ish degrees so pretty humid for december for sure. The RD made the announcement via email … MORE
My favorite race of the year! So weather forecast was 100% rain at about 70-ish degrees so pretty humid for december for sure. The RD made the announcement via email and Facebook the night before that the start time was moved up 30minutes to get ahead of the storm. Good call! Those that did not make it in within 2hrs 45mins definitely got the brunt of the storm but all made it across the finish line safe & sound. We but happy. it may have rained ever single moment of the race but it was still a super fun time and we still had just the best after party ever! the pasta was hot & the beer was cold! and get this: The race director and his wife even handed out homemade banana choco-chip muffins! now tell me what RD does that?!?

LOVE this being a one way race. So fun to run up Gulf Blvd over the bridge and through Seminole. and so sad it was Race Director Chris Lauber’s final official race as director. Such a class act! Fantastic medals. LOVE my starfish! great t-shirts and ultra cold Mich Ultra at the finish. and really good fresh hot pasta with a veggie option too. p.s. new race director: DON’T CHANGE A THING!
