The signage was horrific. For starters, when I picked up my packet for the 1/2 marathon, they gave me a bib for the 10k, they ran out of 1/2 bibs. During the run, the mile markers were blown over & hard to see. They only had 3 water stations. There was a 10k run that was on the same course as us… And when I was on mile 8, and there was a mile 6 sign, I was confused because it had been awhile since I’d seen a mile marker. I asked the person standing at the split (10k went left, 1/2 went straight), and I was told to go left, I suppose because of the bib I had on. Then boom, I was at the finish line. My nike run app said I ran 9.04 miles and they gave me a 10k badge. I ask the guy in charge if I could get a refund, he was a dick about it and said, “go run 4 more miles and I’ll give you the half pin”. Also each mile marker was 1.05miles apart.. Never coming back to Fargo for a race again.

I definitely agree with you on signage. I missed the turn around on mile 11 because supposedly it blew away and there wasn't anyone standing there to guide runners and I ended up going further with about 20 other people. I never saw the miler marker for mile 12 or 13. My run app and my apple watch stated I had run 14.02 miles when I crossed the finish line in the Civic Center. What a crappy feeling. Good thing I wasn't trying for a PR! LESS

I love running through the fall colors right along the Red River. This is a great race with a smaller amount of participants, but just as much fun, as you get to enjoy the cool fall air and the colors of leaves changing and falling.

This race was destined to fail from the start. Congested, not marked well (or at all) and distance way off. I ended up running 8 miles. Go Far Events is in it for the money, not for the passionate runner. Someone needs to compete with them in Fargo. If you want a GREAT race. Run the Wild Hog Marathon in Grand Forks. I would have been much better off saving $55 and going for a tempo run with my trustworthy Garmin.

Great fall run, 10k course follows a lot of the river and park/s, usually chilly, with warm soup at the finish. The medals were pretty cool this year (last years were not as cool, I’m glad to be a repeat runner) finisher shirt is also great. This is a good run, with cool weather great F-M area views, good finisher swag and food, I recommend this Run to others, the Red River Double (add an additional 5k to any of the races) is a great way to challenge yourself also.

This course is so pretty that it was an absolute pleasure to run. There were plenty of aid stations and it was easy to stay on course. I really like the baseball style t-shirt swag and wear it often. The indoor start and finish make this a really nice race – no freezing while you are waiting for the start or having to wear throwaway clothes. Nice for fans too as they can sit in the stadium to wait and watch. Plenty of pacers – it seemed like one for every five minute interval. Great location in downtown – we treated ourselves to Sandy’s famous donuts afterwards and there’s some nice shopping too. My husband said parking was easy. And there’s indoor bathrooms! Don’t skip this race.

This was an absolutely beautiful race and was enjoyable course to run. It’s also a simple course great for beginners! However I was disappointed with a lot of the logistics of the race. When I showed up they had me in the system but no stuff or bib for me and wasn’t able to get it to me until 8min before which obviously caused a whole host of problems. Then I was told I would be receiving a free mug and beer but the lady got the races mixed up and the swag offered for each. But most disappointing of all is that after finishing the half there was absolutely no water, Powerade, bananas or nothing. When I finally asked someone where I have to go to get these race essentially as I just finished running 13 miles(!), the response I got was that they only had one case of water left and they were saving it for the red river double. I have several problems with that but hello your desire to go cheap and not get adequate supplies for a race your charging people $50 for is not my problem… I think my $50 bought me AT LEAST a daggum water bottle. Biggest thing they need to change is to plan ahead much better. It’s unacceptable that a race that size struggles to get the basics together. Also, hello at the very LEAST water is a necessity for you to have and provide after a race!! Also, where was the first aid station or medics for the event? I was shocked they had no first aid or med tent ready to respond and help at the site. If you want a beautiful and easy course this race was great! However, it was logistically a nightmare and very very disappointing start to finish. I’m just glad my friend had thought to pick me up a water when he went to go get breakfast otherwise I would have finished a half marathon and had NOTHING to get the instant water and refuel the body needs.
