I registered for this one because they ran a sale and it was a great deal. The venue was Texas Motor Speedway, kind of interesting but you dont run on the track. Packet pickup was race day only. Swag-a shirt, a few glow sticks, and a finisher medal. When i registered there was something about different medals if you finished less than 30 min it was supposed to say you survived but if you finished later it said you died but all medals were the same. So the race, very small turnout, less than 300 runners. You start in the infield of the track and run out the tunnel and out into the parking lot. It was an out and back course. A few inclines getting into and out of the track but mostly flat and only a few turns. There were zombies along the course but it was so dark that you could not really see their makup and costumes except before and after the run when they were hanging out. Could of used some strobe lights, fog, black lights or the like to enhance the zombie experience. After the race, gatorade, water, snacks, monster drinks, choc milk were all provided. Trophies were provided for age group winners. They even gave out extra race shirts to anyone that wanted them. So it was an okay run, might do it again if I get the same low price but if not there are other themed runs that are competing for my money and it was an hour drive each way from my home.
