Set within the Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, the Dogwood Canyon Trail Runs offer a unique running experience. Dogwood Canyon is a natural paradise with over 10,000 acres, providing a fantastic variety of trails for our 50K/25K/15K trail runs. Located close to Lampe, Missouri, the trails take runners through both Missouri and Arkansas. This is truly a perfect trail race with rocks, hills, mud, streams and more. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothing as the race takes place rain or shine and the temperatures can range from the 20s to the 70s.
Each trail run is unique, but all runs share some of the same territory. The 15K has two aid stations while the 25K and 50K have 3 to 5 aid stations. The courses are hilly and somewhat rocky, providing our runners with a physically challenging and satisfying experience. Parts of our Dogwood Canyon Trail Run courses are only open for our trail runs, making the participants of this world-class event amongst the special few who are granted access to these majestic and hidden areas of the canyon. After their first trail run with us, most participants make our Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series Dogwood Canyon Trail Runs an annual event. We love our runners!
The North Face Trail Run Challenge: Most people who have experienced our Dogwood Canyon Trail Runs would agree that just completing one distance is difficult. Our 15K/25K and 15K/50K Challenge events, sponsored by The North Face, offer runners the opportunity to compete both Saturday and Sunday. The terrain is challenging in and of itself with steep hills, water crossings, rocks and ruts. Runners who choose to complete these events should be prepared for a great challenge! All participants competing in the North Face Challnege must be 18 years old on or before race day. This group of runners demonstrates that with hard work, determination and effort, anything is possible.

I have to admit, this is the ONLY trail run I do. There is a 15k (50k too) race also and if you do both you are awarded the challenge medal and shirt! I run this every year. I look forward to it and train in hills for it. It is run so smoothly and Melissa, the race director, has it down to a science. Shirts are always top quality and design is beautiful. Medal is well thought out also and something to be proud of. Post race food is the absolute best. Everything about these races is top notch. All of the Bass Pro Fitness series races are just as well run!

This is a race you practice for. Not for beginners. Steep hills, plenty of rocks, and multiple water crossings. It’s beautiful and well supported, but you will feel this one later. The swag does make it better. North Face is a sponsor with Bass Pro, so finishers get a very nice hoodie/jacket along with a different medal each year.
