The annual Dobbs Ferry Holiday Hustle 5k and Kids Reindeer Fun Run 1k is an annual event hosted by the Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council. Each year, the proceeds collected benefit the annual holiday gift drive. We’re back in person this year and we hope you’ll join us in raising holiday cheer and do our part in contributing to families who are in need.
This is a fun and active way for families and friends to come together, dress up in your most festive holiday gear and celebrate the holiday season. And remember, this is a FUN RUN so you can take your time, set a new world record, walk it or jog it.
The Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council sponsors this annual event. It consists of Dobbs Ferry community leaders, parent volunteers, and students from Dobbs Ferry High School, The Masters School, and Mercy College. The mission of the Youth Services Council is to improve the quality of life of Dobbs Ferry youth by identifying and addressing their needs, providing leadership, and enabling adults and youth to work together collaboratively.

This is a holiday staple for me. It’s a ton of fun and family friendly. The swag is great for a small local race and it’s a treat to wait indoors for race start seeing as we’re talking December. The course is hilly, but not overly so and there’s a pretty fun after party complete with hot cocoa. I’ll keep coming back to this one every year as long as I’m still in the area.

Race weather was perfect this year. They offered early packet pickup the day before the race or morning of. The bibs and shirts are super cute. They had holiday music playing at the start and finish, some homes along the course were playing holiday music, just about everyone was festively dressed. The race is definitely walker and family friendly and allows both strollers and dogs. Be warned though, it’s hilly, but what goes up must come down, right?
Race morning logistics are easy since the race starts at Mercy College and ends a short walk about in downtown Dobbs Ferry.
