The Divas® Half Marathon & 5K in Temecula is set in southern California’s wine country in the Temecula Valley.
The Half Marathon race will start and finish at Monte de Oro Winery and loop through this wine country valley where you will be able to enjoy sights such as vineyards, horse ranches, magnificent estates, and farmhouses full of character. And as a true Diva run you will enjoy our “Diva stations” along the way, with entertainment spots and our famous Boa and Tiara station.
The course takes place in the rolling hills of Temecula Valley’s Wine County. The event will begin at 1,459 ft and will experience a slight uphill path for the first 0.66 of a mile, followed by 3.4 downhill miles descending 211 feet over this distance. At mile 4 the only “climb” of the route begins where for the next 0.6 of a mile runners will gain 168 feet. However, this climb is only rated with a 3% elevation grade and thus does not even classify to be categorized as a climb. As for the road surface, the first 6 miles are paved with the exception of about 440 yards on Vino Way which are hard packed dirt and gravel. From about mile 6 and through mile 12, the road surface turns to hard packed dirt and gravel, all in excellent condition. This is also the flattest section of the route. Some sections between miles 7.5 and 10 have looser gravel over very hard packed dirt so we suggest choosing a more structured running shoe for this event. The last 1.1 miles are paved.
The amazing 5K course was designed to bring you the best of Temecula. If you are not yet ready for the 13.1 challenge but you are a running diva or a diva lover (for all the handsome casanovas), this race is is for you. Enjoy a great run and an amazing and empowering experience or support the leading lady in your life.
