It had rained the days leading up to the race as well as on race day. The grounds are mostly mud/rocks and therefore you had to be more aware of where you were stepping. I was a little frustrated that many walkers/slower paced joggers started at the front of the pack, making it more of a weaving game for the first half mile. They had a bag of pork rinds in the finishers swag which was disappointing. I’m sure if the weather were a little nicer, the amazing scenery would have made up for all the negatives

It had rained the days leading up to the race as well as on race day. The grounds are mostly mud/rocks and therefore you had to be more aware of where you were stepping.
