There is no shortage of races to choose from on Thanksgiving, but I was impressed with this one. Communication was great before and after the race. The organizers even published a (suggested) weekly training plan on social media, knowing this type of race brings out a lot of less-seasoned runners. With over 700 participants, organization is a must, and the race directors had that on point! It was a beach race, so the scenery was beautiful! The sand was hard-packed and easy to run on. Plenty of parking and post-race snacks (bananas, granola bars, rice crispy treats). Finisher medal and T-shirt were a bit more basic in design than other Turkey Trots I’ve done, but are still high quality (shirt is soft and comfortable).
