Davy Crockett Bear Chase

Marathon course is two times and half marathon is one time around the out and back 13.1 mile course on pavement and forest roads in and around Groveton, starting at Groveton High School, proceeding on roads and streets, and returning to the Groveton High School. Please use caution when crossing streets and be courteous to the residents of the town.

Route starts at the Groveton, TX high school track, turn right out of the parking lot and wind around the cemetary to Jim Butler Rd to Fortenberry Rd, to FM 3154 and turn right. Follow 3154 to 501 which enters the Davy Crockett Forest by turning left. Follow forest road to turn around, and return to the school following the same course.

5K is run along the marathon course (out and back). Possum Walk is 4 laps (1 mile) around the track.
