Danang International Marathon welcomes you to one of Vietnam’s longest-running and largest international marathons, with a stunning route through the country’s most livable city, Da Nang.
The marathon route is located along My Khe beach, which has been voted the most beautiful beach on the planet (by Forbes magazine), passing through the iconic bridges of Da Nang city, where the runners will have an emotional journey running in a peaceful sunrise and incomparable landscapes. The race is the first international marathon to be certified by the International Marathon Association (AIMS) and the World Athletics Federation (IAAF) in Vietnam, and it ranks third out of six marathons in Asia (according to Rad Season).
Da Nang is an amazing city itself that you can plan yourself one of the best race-cations. Majestically situated in the central region of Vietnam, you can easily access the UNESCO-recognized Hoi An Ancient Town, and Hue city – the ancient capital.
The vibrant coastal city also offers you fabulous entertaining spots, some of the most incredible beaches in Vietnam and the fantastic local food. Nature blends harmoniously into its surroundings, which deserves catching some of your leisure time such as the well-known Golden Bridge, Son Tra Peninsula, Hai Van Pass, etc.

Depsite a 4.30am start the humidity is high. The run is a repat lopp and on teh second loop the sun is up and the heat intensfies. The traffic is also heavy so between the noise, heat and exhaust fumes the enjoyment is lost.
