Perfect time of year, fall colors just starting. Great race for the $. Support staff motivating, aid stations simple but max distance was 1/2 Marathon. Course challenging with 1,926′ elevation gain, most in first half,(spoiler alert) but like all good trail runs, a couple mental elevation gains in the second half. Most of course single track, with a little dirt road action. Views were OFF THE CHART! I’ll be back for sure!!!
I came in 6th in age group, and 83rd overall, so not a podium runner, but totally enjoyed running with those who I fell in among along the course.
