This is a fun race! It has a good mix of parking lot & in-park parts of the course! The volunteers make the race better and to run through the park is great! The only downside is that the paths in the park were not cleaned off. There were a lot of wet leaves on the course, especially in the park. With the steep hills, this can be a big safety hazard. Other than that, it was a great experience and I’m already registered for the race in 2024!

This is a festivive 8K race through Busch Gardens in Williamsburg Va. The course is hilly with some steep but short climbs. The race gets close to 2,000 runners, many running/walking for fun in costumes. The race swag is awesome with a medal, long sleeve tech shirt, a free admissin ticket to Busch Gardens to be used before May 2023 and a discount ticket to Christmas Town.
The major issue they had this year was no port a pots at the start/finish. Not sure what happened, but is was a major problem. They also cut back on refreshments at the finish, no more hot chocolate! Just bananas, water and packaged cookies. I have done this race 5 times and this was the first time it had problems like that.
Otherwise, this is a fun event to run or walk.

This was my first race I ever signed up for. I hit my goals I wanted to achieve so that was pretty cool. This race goes though Busch Gardens and it is hilly, all though the lights are set up, its day light so you really don’t get to enjoy them. They do give you a free pass to the park during the regular season the next year, and a discount for the Christmas Town that year as well as a Chick-fil-A card for an item. You also get an event shirt, and a finisher medal.
