Join an annual tradition on Thanksgiving with multiple registration options, t-shirt, awards for age groups, mini-pie, hot chocolate and finish line photos.
Race Route
This 5K Turkey Trot will begin on the South side of Big Woods and take you off the beaten path through the prairie grass and around the lake. Watch out for hay bales along the route, you can crawl over them or jump. Keep your eyes open for a turkey at the end of the route. A few lucky participants may find a turkey and can carry it across the finish line and home for the holiday.
Strollers and dogs are welcome. There is a route option that is all paved.
Awards
There will be awards for the 5K race for 6 age groups and overall male and female.
Post Race
Each registered participant can enjoy a mini pie from Try Pie after the race. Try Pie is a non-profit youth ministry and development program that engages teen girls and empowers them in life and leadership skills through meaningful work.
Finish line photos will be taken and made available at no cost courtesy of Life Expressions by Chastity Photography.
