Snoqualmie Pass needs no introduction! Well known as a ski area in the winter and a mountain bike park in the summer, this will be the first trail run to be held at Snoqualmie Pass (that we are aware of!). The course will feature a fun selection of trails and Forest Service/Ski Area Access roads. For the final stretch of the course you’ll be exposed to stunning views of the expansive scenery around the pass.
The Brown Bear Salmon Run race starts and finishes at the Summit West Base area. The race course comprises of scenic singletrack and 4wd roads. The run starts out along a pleasant stretch of singletrack. After 4 miles, the race course veers off the singletrack and takes you up a Forest Service Road towards the Summit at Snoqualmie Nordic Ski Area near the top of the mountain. After winding along on skinnier trails and wider nordic trails, you’ll make your way to the Snoqualmie Ridgeline on ski area access roads. The views are stunning along the ridgeline. You’ll follow along the undulating ridgeline or close to it with surprisingly enjoyable ski area access roads before you descend back to the Summit West base area to finish. 30k runners will head out from there on a second lap.

This was my first Trail race in that area and I didn’t really anticipate the number of steep climbs involved, but the backcountry behind the Snoqualmie Ski area had some pretty nice views. The trail was marked well, though sometimes needed a second look to see where to go next. Worth doing again in a few years.
Kicked my ass in a good way

I’m a walker and this was my first trail race. In terms of difficulty, this race was tough. Lots of terrain changes and ups/downs in the course. As far as beauty, I’ve never seen anything so breathtaking in a course. Meadows, small ferns, massive trees, tributaries, and more … each absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this race and hope to do it again next year. Only maybe jogging this time … 🙂
A great race for those light on your fee

Another great Evergreen race with free professional photos, a well marked route, real soap and water outside the starting restrooms, small race bib with timing chip, supportive staff and volunteers, great scenery. I was having trouble really running the course because of all the challenging rocks and roots, and just not being strong; but was still able to make the cutoff.
Awesome course!
This is a true off-road/Trail course. Kudos to the designers and planners. If you want to be challenged? This is the course. Hopefully this race is back in 2025. MORE

With the exception of running in the Colorado Rockies, I loved this course.
The diverse terrain of single track, tree roots, boulders, forest service road, amazing views that kept changing throughout the 15k.
That distance was awesome.
Cannot wait to participate again next year and hope it will open up to others who will be able to enjoy it also.
Oh the meatballs after the race, thumbs up.
