The Brisbane Marathon is one of the oldest and most friendly events on the Australian calendar attracting thousands of participants from over 35 countries annually. Often labelled the “boutique” marathon of choice, in part due to the VIP treatment all participants receive. The event celebrates fun fitness and the test of ultimate human endurance – the Marathon. I enjoy running in Brisbane with paths around bridges and the river and the course used this well I thought. It was 2 laps, which I think is not great, and the second lap was pretty lonely with the half marathoners absent. I enjoyed it but it was a bit short of vibe.
