…that’s what the organizers of the race said. They are shifting to Pickleball next year. Maybe that’s where their focus already was. This was a 5k on a commonly used venue (English Landing Park) The water stop is usually around 1.2 miles in by the foot bridge. This one was at 2.4 miles, which is likely because they didn’t have to carry the water as far, but on a super-hot day like this day it would have been nice. There were no course markings, which, for anyone who is from here, we all know the course, which has some different turns at the start that can add or subtract .2 miles or so, but newcomers/visitors might have been confused. I actually saw people take two different routes. No finisher medals. No chip timing. What kept this from being a 1 shoe review was there were at least food trucks and free hot dogs at the end.
