It was +2 C or about 35F and with this race being off the shore of Boundary Bay it’s always windy. However the winds were gusting up to 50K and then combined with rain and sleet, well you get the picture. Otherwise the course is pretty flat mostly on packed trails. Lots of people didn’t show because of the weather, but the rest of us are diehards.🏃🏽♂️💨💦💦🏅

The Try Events race is well-organized and takes place in a beautiful setting, mainly on trails along the water. However, it is held in November which can result in adverse weather conditions. Fortunately, the few times I’ve participated in this race, the weather has been pleasant – sunny, cooler and with little wind.
