The Beartooth Run is a race so scenic you’ll forget you’re running above 10,000ft. A double out-and-back race with a 5k, 10k, and new HALF MARATHON all above 10,500ft with unrivaled views of the Beartooths! Mark your calendars for the highest sustained road race in the US!
The course is all pavement on a road that is open to traffic. No dogs, strollers or headphones allowed on course.
5k
The Classic. Good Views, great course and only ONE hill! The 5k welcomes speedy runners looking to test their lungs at 10,500ft, the casual runner looking to tick off an iconic race off their list, walkers who want to take in the views and kids who want a cool story to share once school starts back up!
10k
A double-out-and-back with views of the East and West summits on the Beartooth Pass. First run east to the Beartooth Basin Summer Ski Area then turn around and head to the true summit, just shy of 11,000ft! Out of safety and respect for volunteers, walkers are not allowed on this course (you can walk parts, but if you plan on only walking, please sign up for the 5k).
Half Marathon
For those that just can’t get enough of the views, we’ve added a Half Marathon distance! Starting and finishing at the same time and location as the 5k/10k this Half Marathon course is an extension of the 10k course in each direction. This double-out-and-back race will give you new views and double the elevation gain of the 10k!
