Bangkok Marathon starts at 4 am in the morning! That´s tough and I really did not know which strategy would be the best. I decided to go to bed very early and got up at 2 am in the morning, tried to eat at least a sandwich even though I was not hungry at all. At the start it was amazing to see how many people got up that early in order to run a marathon in the middle of the night. Start was close to the Grand Palace. The course is flat and quite easy, but be prepared to pass by some areas with ugly smells (fish). Unfortunately the course was not measured correctly. The half marathon was about 1 k less that it should have been. Beautiful sunrise after the finish!
