It was raining on and off on the way so I was afraid it might be cancelled like it was three years in a row or that it’ll be super muddy. Glad it was only cloudy but that meant there were no views at all as we were running through clouds almost the entire race.
It was clearly marked so no issues with getting lost.
Steep uphill through rocks but to the right of Hummingbird Trail. It’s mostly gravel once you get past the rocky ascent, but it’s the same way back down.
Nice to have donuts, watermelon and snacks at the finish.
Good to support local charity

Killer course with over 12k in elevation change. Breathtaking views for miles. Perfect combination of fire roads, technical single track, ridge climbs and canyon runs. The support was great – aid stations right where you need them with great volunteers. This was the race’s third year and here’s to wishing it many more!

A nice trail run to enjoy nature, with most part of the trail being between hills rocks. The first 2 miles after the start and before the finish are quite steep and difficult, the rest was fairly easy with some hills. The most difficult part is heat, especially because there is not a lot of shade.
