This was my first time running this race (or any atlanta race, as a local). The course was challenging and enjoyable, with quite a few hills but nothing impossible. Aid stations were well-staffed but very few and far between; I carried a water bottle and would’ve been in trouble if I’d been counting on aid stations. The volunteers and police along the course were great. The course itself was very narrow with the rest of the road open to cars, so it was especially tough getting past people. Temperature was absolutely perfect; it rained for the start & first few miles but was then overcast and low 60’s. Unfortunately there was almost no crowd support the entire 10 miles; the rain at the start may have impacted that, but even though it cleared up quite early, nobody was out. It was a very quiet race and definitely didn’t have great energy. It was a fairly well-organized race but between the cars passing very close to you and the super low energy all around, I don’t know that I’d do it again.
