I signed up for this race as part of my marathon training plan, and it definitely felt like a reward for my hard work! The course was very serene and more shaded than I anticipated. You do have to watch out for vehicles, but they tend to be courteous and supportive. There are plenty of snack and water stops, but don’t let the hill at the end get ya!

Literally the first good day to run in the summer, but I could see that being a gamble year to year. Slight bunny hills. Liked the scenery. Ashland doesn’t really have the infrastructure for all the people descending upon town on race day, so plan ahead to carpool/parking. I am always disappointed when there are no beer vendors at the finished. I did great (30ish seconds from my PR!), but not a MUST DO.

A lot of rolling hills through corn fields. The course was a lot hillier than I expected (my fault for not looking at the course closely), so not a great personal result. Nice tech shirt and medal. Minimal crowd support.
