The ARK 5K has been part of the Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix (always on Labor Day weekend) every year since 1983. Along with the Spa 10K which also joined in 1983, the ARK 5K has the longest run of any race in the Grand Prix Series.

This is one of my favorite races. The only suggestion I would have is that there be a start mat since this is part of the LRRC Grand Prix Series. Those of us in the back don’t get an accurate time. The drawings after the race and the volunteerism for this race is spectacular. This is definitely a race I will continue to do every year.
