I enjoyed doing a Thanksgiving morning turkey trot with thousands of other people, but that comes with a lot of congestion on the run. Slower runners were not encouraged to position themselves behind those going faster. After a while things will work out, but that’s an area of improvement if this race wants to consider it (they did ask for pace estimations upon registration, so I thought there would be pace signs in the corrals, but no). It brings out a lot of fast trotters and had a Grand Marshal who is a top American marathoner. No medals were handed out and shirts were an extra cost at registration.
