Great production, colors, and marketing. The team clearly knows what they’re doing. The swag was great, the medals were huge, and the mascots at the finish line plus the hot air balloons were a big hit. I was welcomed by a cheer team and honestly felt like I won.

Logistics: Super easy. Hotel Andaluz was beautiful, affordable, and 1 block away from the start/finish. Expo was also 1 block away. Quick bib pick-up, but no other vendors, if you were planning on buying gels, etc.
Pre-race: Enough Porto-pottys that there were NO LINES! Vibe was good pre-race, complete with mariachi band!
Course: About half is on the side of the roads…about half is on a paved bike path. Pancake flat and fast.
Aid stations/Spectators: It was a relatively small race, so there were very few spectators. The aid stations were stocked with water/gatorade/and gels, which was great. However, it was 3-4 miles between aid stations at some points, so I’d recommend carrying fluids if you are used to more frequent access.
Swag: Awesome! ON branded race shirts (and socks!) were amazing. There were no specific dates or race distances on the shirt, which might be an issue for some…but perfectly fine with me. I will actually wear this one. Also…a stuffed road runner with your medal at the finish was cool! Post-race beer from a local brewery (Tractor) was the perfect end to the day.

This is a well organized small event, especially considering this is the first year to hold this event.
The route was flat and the road quality was fairly good. All went smooth.
There is a long section of the route along the bike path next to a river. There is an aid station every two miles, except one long stretch from mile 19 to mile 23. Almost half of the aid stations have energy gel supply.
The volunteers were very enthusiastic and helpful along the way.
