Celebrate your fitness this June at the Columbus 10K at North Bank Park in Downtown Columbus!
Originally run as the Citizen-Journal 10K in the summer of 1977, the Columbus 10K is “The Oldest Road Race in Columbus”. Take in the riverfront, High Street, German Village, and the best of Columbus in this 6.2 mile tour of Ohio’s capital city.
Cross the finish line and head right to the party. You’ll find a free beer waiting for you from Nocterra Brewing, live music, and vendors. Your participation can help end hunger one nourishing meal at a time by supporting Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Take part in the 10K from year to year to collect the series medals. Each stands alone – but together, they create something epic.

I have done this race for several years. it is unique because it is one of the only single distance races in central Ohio. The course is a lollypop, not much scenery, just around Columbus. The pre and post-race party area is nice. They usually have a medal series which draws people back year after year.
The best 10k!!

This was my second time running this race, I really enjoy running in Columbus, seeing the crowd cheering everyone on. The medal is one of the best. The after party always has a good band. The vendors are a nice touch to walk around sample, try new things, I believe here were people giving massages too. I will continue to run this race as the years go on.
Nice course and atmosphere

This was the 45th annual Columbus 10k. Based on how the race is marketed, this seems to be the oldest continuous road race we have here in Cbus. For me, the Columbus 10k was my first 10k (and a test for how I might feel about longer distances ;)).
I’m glad this was a rare case where I opted for early packet pickup. I think that race communications could have been far clearer about how to get to the parking in light of the road closures, as I only got parked about 10-15 minutes before the race. In spite of the rush to the start line, the weather was perfect in 2022: it seemed like a lot of big PBs were set! I ran somewhat conservatively but was still much faster on race day than on any of my training runs. The course starts and ends in a park downtown, and you run through parts of German Village. As a Columbus local, I was pleasantly surprised by the scenery! The finish line chute was well-organized, and runners were given a baggie of post-race snacks. I felt that (unless you only are interested in beer) the post-race party could have been better, but registration was pretty cheap, and you get a nice tech shirt. I’m looking forward to signing up next year, with the lesson learned to arrive much earlier on race day!
