It’s a pretty good race, and excellent organization. Good parking. The weather was foggy coming in. I wish there were more vendors but, there were so many people there that I’m glad we left right after the race, because it was easy coming in and out if you beat the crowd.

The race was in the beautiful Griffith Park of Los Angeles, although there were sister events in other states. I signed up because of the spectacular Charlie Brown Christmas medal and T shirt and in that I was not disappointed. They even thew in a race bib with the whole Peanuts gang on it. There was both a 5K and a 10K with the 10K runners doing 2 laps of the course. That became a problem because the 5K runners started 25 min after the 10K and all of them merged onto the course as most 10K runners were starting their second lap. The other problem was that both courses were very short. The 10K course was under 6 miles. That was strange because there was an out and back section that looked like it could have been extended to make the course the full distance. The race was on a very soft and forgiving dirt trail around the golf course. It was mostly flat and with only a few turns. The whole course was scenic although with all the runners it got a bit dusty in places. There were plenty of bathrooms and the finish line was nice. Despite the problems with the course, I would do this race again.
