This is the 3rd year I’ve run this race and I always enjoy it. This year it was raining and I still had a fun time. The race starts up a fairly steep hill, turns left for a little downhill, and then a few more longer hills. A good chunk of the remainder of the course is flatter though. The course does a loop around Lake Gervais. There is a water stop around mile 2.5. Race is smaller so not a ton of vendors but always some free food goodies (this year was a full size bag a protein powder, full size Cliff bars, fruit snacks, bananas, drinks, etc). Swag was a cotton tee, race medal, reusable bag, maple syrup, and other goodies. Race is always well organized, starts on time, and everyone is friendly. The race director is quick to respond to emails if anything comes up.
