Monterey is my favorite place in the world – even better to run one of the most scenic races ever. I admit, I did not train for this as I should have, but it didn’t matter. The course is mostly flat, and I took my time and enjoyed every moment.

10k and half are flat with some paved but mostly packed dirt. The views of SF and the planes flying over are great. The first time I ran it it was super foggy – making it boring, but if the weather cooperates you are in for a treat!

5k is fun and paved. 10k goes off path, over a bridge, and up and up and up and up and up some more….and then up. And then you get to come back down. Great course, great scenery!
