I love this race. The scenery is incredible. The people are fantastic. Cookies at the end are the best. The medals are unique. It felt like the expo was a bit smaller this year, but this is after coming from a huge expo at another race. I wish they would bring Team Noisy back. I miss Rudy and Fitz.

Monterey is my favorite place in the world – even better to run one of the most scenic races ever. I admit, I did not train for this as I should have, but it didn’t matter. The course is mostly flat, and I took my time and enjoyed every moment.

10k and half are flat with some paved but mostly packed dirt. The views of SF and the planes flying over are great. The first time I ran it it was super foggy – making it boring, but if the weather cooperates you are in for a treat!
