I love this race. Pretty flat course, beautiful scenery and the weather has been perfect every time I’ve done it. Great expo – loved the free taping at the KT Pro Tape booth!! And the free Bubba Gump’s appetizer in the virtual goodie bag was yummy! The beer garden and live band is a nice reward at the end. Lots of tasty samples too. For some reason though, they always run out of the coconut water at the water stations. Way happy for the Gu at I think it was mile 11. Will definitely run it again!

Lots of chocolate and sweets at the expo, water stations and finish line. I couldn’t eat the chocolate during the run, but the fondue-filled finisher’s mug with dippers was delish! Super cute jacket instead of a t-shirt, and cute candy bar medal. I was shocked at how hilly the course was! Not much in the way of scenery, and had to step over lots of homeless people and trash to get to the start line. San Diego is such a beautiful place – I wonder if they couldn’t find a nicer area to hold the race. All in all though, it was a fun time and I was sugared out at the end!

Easy course. Bus takes you up to the start line in the foothills. Downhill all the way. Not as much of a grade as I had anticipated though, so not hard on your knees. Lots of PR’s on this course!
