Course is pretty flat with a net downhill and many will PR. Expo, free race photos, swag, finisher medal, logistics and crowd support are awesome and hard to beat! The after party is great as far as atmosphere, but only 1 drink ticket and they still only do snacks after the race, no real food.
I have run a half in every state and a total of 113 so I’ve seen really amazing to “will never do again” and this is my favorite fall race and the best that I’ve done in Nebraska. Love it!

This race in 2018 was like 3 blocks on Rt 66 so kind of false advertising. The expo and logistics were fine there’s plenty of hotels downtown to stay at that are walking distance to start/finish. Course was nothing special was hilly and not much crowd support. There’s was a neighborhood or 2 that had crowd support but I was promised this amazing party and I didn’t get it, not even close.
After the race (I finished abt 3 hours with so many still be hind me) we got cold pizza that had been sitting out for a while on the 25° weather. I’m a half fanatic and could go into their VIP tent with heaters a warm good, but for all the other hundreds of runners in the back, the after party/food wasn’t good. Their medals are always cool and for being in half fanatics I got one with a special ribbon so that was cool. It’s also nice that they have a 5k on Sat and then half on sun for family that doesn’t do halfs or for a warm up run. Overall this race is close to the bottom of my list. I have done 113 halfs in all 50 states.
