Unfortunately the course was confusing and poorly marked. I had to stop multiple times to figure out which way to go. Definitely needs more race volunteers at key junctures to guide runners. I also don’t think there was timing mats? I know of a handful of runners who came in short of a full marathon because they missed 2 key jet outs on their way back to the finish. I also was annoyed with the 3:05 pacer, who didn’t even run the whole course! He kept jumping off and on the whole time. Slightly annoying.

On my quest to run a marathon in every state I chose the Celebration Marathon to check off Florida. I am so glad I did! The weather was perfect. The course nice and fast despite a lot of turns ;). My favorite was the yummy food afterwards!!! The post race goodies were located by a beautiful lake. It wasn’t my fastest marathon, but I did bring home #2nd place female :).

Beautiful racing weather if you like it warm! I prefer colder temps for running. It’s sunny, so you do heat up quite a bit if you’re running the marathon. Run fast 😂

Such a beautiful run! The expo is one of my favorites! I have run in many races and this is definitely one I will run again Year to year. It is so well run with lots of race day support! I will be coming back next year for sure :).

It was definitely an overall good experience. So neat to run in Pacific Coast highway! It was a little hard backtracking away from the finish line when running the Marathon. Plus running into the sun the last 6 miles or more was brutal. BUT it was especially hot for Feb in CA and space is limited to run a marathon in beautiful Huntington. The support if spectators was wonderful. I think my only somewhat bigger complaint was the lack of water stations after mile 20. I could just have been miserable as well, but there was only a few. A water station every mile or so after that 20 mile mark would have been fantastic! Overall a wonderful Expo and very neat medals :). I’m glad I ran!
